What Is IPL?

If age spots, sun damage, rosacea, or spider veins are causing you to feel self-conscious about how your skin looks, then you may be an ideal patient for IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy at First Body. Dr. Arnaldo Jimenez performs IPL photofacials at our Alpharetta, GA practice using Lumecca, a powerful skin rejuvenating solution that can effectively reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and other skin concerns without invasive surgery. By boosting your body's natural production of collagen, Lumecca IPL can leave your skin looking smoother and more even. To learn more about the advantages of Lumecca IPL for your skin, schedule a photofacial consultation at First Body.

What are the Benefits of IPL?

Whether you have targeted skin concerns like spider veins and discoloration or want to give your complexion's health and radiance an overall boost, the IPL photofacial can be an excellent option. Some of the primary benefits of IPL therapy for skin rejuvenation include:

  • Can help reduce the appearance of many signs of aging, including lines, wrinkles, and sun damage
  • Can minimize the visibility of areas of discoloration, hyperpigmentation, redness, acne scarring, and more
  • Can be used on the face, neck, and chest to create a more seamless and complete transformation
  • Boosts collagen production for firmer, more youthful-looking skin
  • Preliminary results may be apparent after a single session
  • Results can last for months or even years

How Does Lumecca IPL Therapy Work?

IPL sessions at our Alpharetta, GA office take about 20 – 30 minutes and are performed in our comfortable treatment rooms. To prepare you for the photofacial, the technician will wash and dry your skin before covering your eyes with goggles. The procedure is performed using the Lumecca handpiece, which will pass over your skin as it emits pulses of high-intensity light energy. While most patients will feel mild discomfort throughout the IPL photofacial, it's generally bearable for the quick treatment time. Just one session can produce noticeable improvements in your complexion, but several treatments are usually recommended to optimize your results.

I have been coming to this establishment since November 2022. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. I have had injections that were painless as they can be and Liz is very professional and does amazing work. Aestheticians Phoebe and Michelle have been fantastic with my treatment and what they recommend for my skin. I have had Ultra therapy, micro needling and IPL so far. I really enjoy the Med spa having a membership that I pay monthly and then be able to do something every month for my skin or body. I get discounts with the membership. It’s been a great experience. I have seen Katherine the nurse injector- done Botox did a fantastic job explains everything and was mostly painless with great results. Katherine explains everything she’s doing and does a wonderful job no bruising or bleeding. January 2023 - I had 3 Morpheus8 face treatments with pronox. My skin keeps getting better with each visit. I love how they make sure to be up to date with treatments and skincare

Once again, First Body slays!!! The team is the absolute best and I love going monthly for a new treatment! I’ve had the skin pen treatment, IPL, and the no peel peel - each treat has been awesome. Some products I added to my regimen since going to First Body is the Colorescience collection - I love their concealer, Colorescience lipgloss with the SPF is great. I also got the set of the 3 blush colors, and now use them every single day. It feels so great to replace all of my Toxic make up and skin care with products that actually work & build excellent results. Skincare should be excellent treatments, using products that work, accompanied with makeup that has SPF!! If you haven’t booked, call them Today! Cassie is so sweet and will get you set up!
